: Banning a user

You can ban a user of your message board by following the directions below:

1. Login to your message board account. (Must be a moderator or administrator account.)
2. View a post made by the user.
3. Click the "Ban" link next to the post. If there is no "Ban" link that means the appropriate permissions are not set for the moderator account.

1. There will also be a "Ban" link in the member's profile if member registration is activated in your message board.
2. The Ban function automatically bans the user's IP address and email address.
3. You can also do partial and exact IP banning in the "IP Address Banning" section of the Website Toolbox members area.
