: How do I make an announcement?
You can make an announcement using one of the three methods described below:
Posting a locked and pinned thread containing your announcement:
- Login to your message board with a moderator or administrator account.
- If you have multiple forums in your message board, enter the forum you would like to post the announcement in.
- Click the New Topic link.
- Type your announcement subject and message.
- Check the Pin this thread checkbox to keep the thread at the top of the threads listing at all times. More information...
- Check the Lock this thread checkbox to prevent replies from being posted in the thread. More information...
- Click the Post Message button.
Inserting your announcement directly under the header on the main page of your message board:
(Note: Using this option may require a decent knowledge of HTML.)
- Login to your Website Toolbox account.
- Click the Custom HTML link.
- Insert your announcement into the "Message Board Announcement" textbox.
- Click the Submit Settings button.
Sending an email containing your announcement to all of your members:
- Login to your Website Toolbox account.
- Click the Email Users link.
